Kennicott Lodge is off the beaten path, but a great little plane hop will take you over gorgeous mountains and glaciers to enjoy this locale! The Lodge itself is very comfortable, everything you need. Very efficient staff, good food, and great room and bath. And you can't beat the views of the Root Glacier from the lodge! Amazing place and worth the effort to get there! Our stay was beyond fantastic. The staff are all outstanding, the food is superb, the rooms super comfortable, and the views beyond words. It isn't inexpensive, but to stay in the heart of Kennicott with this level of comfort is well worth the price. Such a spectacular and relaxing place to stay. Food is amazing and rooms are clean and comfortable. This is a must do place to stay. I just loved this place. Great food and great staff. You have to use communal showers; but I was OK with that. Food was good, coffee was hot and plentiful. Fantastic for sitting out a rain shower while taking in the glacier
