Wonderful campground that is set about 1 mile off the highway that you can't hear the road noise. I tent camped with my 2 children and had a wonderful time. It seemed that every camping spot was along the Tolsona Creek and the babble of the creek was just loud enough that you couldn't hear your neighbors, but we didn't have any. On the weekends the staff has a schedule to activities with the kids and a nightly smores roast. We look a short walk, 15 minutes to a tiny waterfall with a little brook and the we spent 2 hours just sitting there in the sun and playing in the water. We had our labrador with us and he was welcomed also. The hike to the mud volcano took about 45 minutes through the woods with a 5 yr old. It it has rained recently the path will be difficult to navigate due to the mud. Make sure you wear rubber boots regardless. It had been dry recently and we still had to traverse through mud that went up to my lower shins. Also wear bug spray and bring a bear bell if you aren't carrying. It was nice to access to hot running water to wash our hands and flushing toilets. Definitely a luxury compared to other camping trips we've had. And the free wi-fi around the main office area is nice because there is not cell service in the area to contact loved ones. One of the best places we stayed on the whole trip! Great layout, most streamside. Great showers, wifi and coin operated showers (with enough time to shower). Impressed by the friendly host. Nice place! The campsites are comfortable, and we heard that there are always sites open for tent campers (this was definitely true for our visit). They also have free showers, wifi, and coffee, as well as coin-op laundry. One big drawback is a pretty stark lack of good hikes near the campsite. Amazing RV park, secluded and quiet away from hwy, with peaceful river flowing through it. You will love your stay! Facilities clean and maintained! Friendly staff! Nice hot shower for a minimal fee. The water had iron in it but the shower stalls were very clean and the cement floor in the shower area was very clean also! Every site is waterfront along the meandering Tolsona Creek and we had hook-ups! Beautiful! But be prepared for mosquitos!
